"The Colorado Buganda Heritage Fund was established as a non-profit organization with 501(c)(3) Status in 2022. A group of people listed below decided to find away to empower our children. We have served over 2000 people and conducted more than six big functions to celebrate our Ugandan culture."

Our mission in threefold

Cultural Awareness and Participation

Foster pride and connection to Ugandan heritage by engaging the community in cultural events, traditions, and celebrations that highlight the richness of Buganda culture.

Teach the Luganda Language

Preserve and promote the Luganda language through structured lessons, ensuring younger generations can communicate, connect with their roots, and strengthen cultural identity.

Teach Art Appreciation and Dance

Introduce participants to traditional Ugandan art forms and dance, encouraging creative expression while deepening their understanding of cultural symbolism and storytelling.

Teach Playing the African Drums

Develop rhythmic skills and cultural knowledge through hands-on drumming lessons, emphasizing the role of drums in ceremonies, communication, and community bonding.
